Bruny Island

So this is officially my 100th blog entry since starting the grown up gap year.  Just wanted to say thanks for all the comments and feedback along the way!

I'm still playing catch up writing about all the adventures we had here in Tasmania. At the end of our family visit, we had a great day with my cousin at Bruny Island. It's a stunning spot off the southeast coast of Tasmania.  We loaded onto a car ferry leaving from Kettering to catch the yellow boats for our Bruny Wilderness Cruise.  This tour is a lot of fun and worth the money.  We traveled down the unspoilt coastline and our cheerful crew made sure we were warm and dry when traveling over the 10 feet swells.  Check out this site to book if you are in the area.    http://www.brunycruises.com.au/

I really feel like a broken record, but here is ANOTHER beautiful pristine beach.
Watch out - If you head into the water, this little fishy might give you a nibble....

Go local and support Get Shucked.  This food truck serves up both shucked and unshucked oysters along the roadside.
Closer to Antarctica than to Pittsburgh
No... we are not headed to outer space in these windsuits,  we are just about to venture to the Southern Sea.  Where were these windproof floor length saviors when I lived in Chicago?

The yellow boat out to sea

These seals were having a blast splashing about the water.  We also saw a small glimpse of a Mum and baby humpback upon our return to shore.

Cannot. Feel. My. Face.  So. Cold.
Finished the day at a great spot for take away fish along Hobart's waterfront
